Join us for PlayCleanGo® Awareness Week 2025!
We’re excited to invite you to join us for PlayCleanGo® Awareness Week 2025, taking place from June 7–14 across Canada and North America. This annual campaign raises awareness about the spread of invasive species and empowers individuals to take simple, effective actions to protect the landscapes we love.
This year’s theme, “Partnering Together to Protect Our Favourite Places,” reflects the spirit of collaboration that defines the PlayCleanGo® movement. As part of a growing partnership with NAISMA (North American Invasive Species Management Association) and CONABIO (Mexico’s Comisión Nacional para el Conocimiento y Uso de la Biodiversidad), Invasives Canada is proud to amplify this message across borders and ecosystems.
Together, we can prevent the spread of invasive species and ensure future generations can enjoy Canada’s forests, wetlands, parks, and trails.
How to Get Involved in 2025:

Join Us: Celebrate from June 7–14, 2025, by participating in PlayCleanGo® by promoting PlayCleanGo® actions over social media and at in-person events.

Share Your Story: Submit your PlayCleanGo® story by sharing photos, videos, or local stories to help inspire others and be featured in campaign highlights. Submit photos and videos by tagging @InvasivesCanada or emailing chris@canadainvasives.ca

Promote Your Events: Hosting a PlayCleanGo® activity in your region? Let us know by tagging @InvasivesCanada so we can help spread the word.

Stay Engaged Online: Use hashtags #PlayCleanGoWeek and #PlayCleanGo, and tag @InvasivesCanada on your favorite platforms to join the conversation.

Must be 18 years or older to enter.

To enter, participants must share a photo or story showing how they PlayCleanGo®, use hashtags #PlayCleanGoWeek and #PlayCleanGo, and tag @InvasivesCanada.

Entries must be posted between June 7–14, 2025. Contest closes June 14, 2025. Three winners will be contacted shortly after.
