Community Science Workshop – March 4, 2020

Community Science Workshop

When: March 4, 2020

Where: Ottawa Event and Conference Centre

Early detection of invasive species is key in preventing their spread and reducing their impacts.

Often described as ‘citizen’ or ‘community’ science, organizations are coming together to leverage the public to help meet real world goals, such as tracking and reporting of invasive species. Join the Canadian Council on Invasive Species, along with government, non-government, indigenous, business and industry organizations, to explore the current approaches to community science in Canada and beyond, and how we can work together to grow engagement across Canada to prevent the spread of invasive species.
