A note from Executive Director, Rebecca Lord – Winter 2026

Dear Invasives Canada Members, Partners, and Supporters,

I hope you are finding moments to enjoy the quieter pace that winter can bring. While invasive species may not be as visible on the landscape right now, this season gives us time to learn, plan, and reconnect. I’m always encouraged by the number of webinars, conferences, and conversations taking place across our chapters and partner organizations. The work continues, even when the ground is frozen.

As we move toward spring, I want to share that I will be stepping down from my role as Executive Director of Invasives Canada, effective March 13. It has been a true privilege to work alongside such dedicated staff, partners, and supporters across the country. I have learned a great deal, and I am grateful for the trust and collaboration that has shaped our work.

I am incredibly proud of what we have built together and the meaningful progress we have made.  While I will miss working in this role, I am confident in our team and in Invasives Canada’s continued growth and impact in the years ahead.

Thank you for your partnership and commitment to this work. It matters.

Warm regards,

Rebecca Lord, Executive Director, Invasives Canada
